{"id":22675,"date":"2023-07-25T15:10:12","date_gmt":"2023-07-25T19:10:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tcat.ca\/?p=22675"},"modified":"2023-07-26T12:33:06","modified_gmt":"2023-07-26T16:33:06","slug":"centennial-commutes-report-is-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tcat.ca\/centennial-commutes-report-is-now-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Centennial Commutes Report is now available!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In early 2023, Centennial College partnered with <a href=\"https:\/\/tcat.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Centre for Active Transportation<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbanminds.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Urban Minds TO<\/a> to understand how students and staff travel to and from Progress Campus. The goal of this partnership was to identify opportunities for encouraging more sustainable transportation options, including walking, biking, taking transit, and carpooling. This initiative engaged over 1,000 students and staff through an online survey, two dedicated focus groups targeting students and staff, a walk audit of Progress Campus, and four pop-up engagement booths at various campus locations.<\/p>\n<p>We are pleased to share that the final report from the study is now available! The report includes 34 recommendations covering policy, infrastructure, and education to encourage sustainable mobility within the college community.
