Position<\/strong>:\u202fProject Manager, The Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT) About Us\u00a0<\/strong> About the Position\u00a0<\/strong> The Project Manager helps set the vision, priorities, and direction of TCAT, and is responsible for developing new project ideas and writing funding proposals in collaboration with the TCAT Director. We are looking for candidates who are excited by the idea of developing new methods of moving active transportation forward and who can identify gaps in how municipalities, organizations, and communities currently pursue active transportation initiatives.<\/p>\n We recognize that there are many different ways to approach this work. We value different lived experiences and methods of engaging with active transportation. \nProject<\/strong>:\u202fTCAT, a project of Clean Air Partnership
\nLocation<\/strong>:\u202fToronto office. Remote work options (required during the COVID-19 pandemic).
\nCompensation<\/strong>:\u202fFull Time. $60,000-65,000, health benefits and full pension offered after 6 months.<\/p>\n
\nClean Air Partnership (CAP) is a charitable environmental organization launched in 2000. We enable communities to improve air quality, advance active transportation, and take bold climate action. We convene networks, lead research and knowledge transfer, and catalyze transformative action. The Centre for Active Transportation (TCAT), a project of CAP since 2008, advances knowledge and evidence to build support for safe and inclusive streets for walking and cycling.<\/p>\n
\nReporting to the TCAT Director, the Project Manager plays an integral role in every aspect of TCAT\u2019s work. Current projects include managing and expanding TCAT\u2019s network of community bike hubs in York Region, incubating suburban cycling, collecting, and analyzing data evaluating cycling and pedestrian focused initiatives, engaging communities on Vision Zero, translating academic research for practitioner use, and researching best practices and innovative approaches to active transportation.<\/p>\n

\nto deliver bicycle programming at the community bicycle hub in Markham, expand the
\nprogram within York Region, and open a second location in Newmarket.<\/li>\n
