Vanessa is an intern at TCAT working on a research project seeking to understand how e-bikes could change the mobility patterns of people living in suburban communities. Vanessa has completed her first year of the Master of Urban Development program at Ryerson University. She is an aspiring city-builder and sustainability professional who is passionate about creating places that address the climate crisis and systems that perpetuate gender, social, and racial inequalities. Vanessa previously worked as a Project Coordinator for Clean Air Partnership, where she developed tools and policies to support municipalities in implementing green development standards and home energy efficiency retrofit programs. She also has experience in provincial policy, working for both the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
