Nancy Smith Lea, TCAT Program Director, has been selected to speak in a session titled "Bicycles and Urban Well-Being", at St. Michael's Hospital Clinical and Population Research Rounds.

Nancy invited Dr. Chris Cavacuiti, physician and researcher on cycling health and safety, and Paul Young, health promoter working to improve cycling in marginalized communities, to join her in presenting at this session.
Nancy will be be speaking about road blocks to improving cyclists' safety, including the reallocation of road space from on-street parking to bike lanes. Key findings from the Clean Air Partnership's research report titled "Bike Lanes, On-Street Parking and Business" (PDF here) will be presented. Nancy also spoke on this topic on Sep 21st at the Ontario Bike Summit in a workshop exploring the links between effective parking management and cycling.
